Negotiations at the Ministry of Industry (Kementerian Perindustrian)
The aim of the negotiations at the Ministry of Industry was to ensure access to guarantees for investors with regard to the specific risks of investment in Indonesia. We were supported by a Czech delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry Eduard Muřický.
Negotiations will continue.
The 4th Session of the Joint Economic Committee in Indonesia
PRI RecyPlastico a.s. has already secured political support at local level in the target location for the construction of a recycling center – Manokwari. At the 4th Session of the Joint Economic Committee in Indonesia, the aim was to get support for the project at national level and to liaise with the Coordinating Ministery of Marine and Investments (Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi). The Ministery has a plan to reduce the plastic waste by 70% and increase the recycling rate of plastics from the current rate of 10% to 30% by the year 2025.
At this point, the mission was above expectations successful. PRI RecyPlastico a.s. is registered under the official protocol (PDF, 6 MB) in the field of environmental cooperation (point d., point 46.):
„The Czech Delegation informed about their high standard of capability in environmentally friendly technology. PRI RecyPlastico, the Czech Delegation, has started its interest in plastic recycling projects through investment amounting to 10 million Euros in Indonesia. The Czech Delegation also informed that the company had been consulted with the Municipality of Manokwari in West Papua.”
At the meeting we made contact with Mr. Agung Tri Prasetyo, Divisional Director for Bilateral Cooperation of the Public Relations and Foreign Cooperation Office, General Secretariat, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Communication on the possibilities of cooperation between the Ministry and PRI RecyPlastico a.s. to achieve the goal of increasing plastic recycling in Indonesia will continue.
We thank Mr. Edvard Muřický for leading the delegation and the people from his team (Petr Kulovaný, Michal Horáček, Jaromír Dudák and Jaroslav Reif) for negotiating with the Indonesian side.
Many thanks to Ivan Hoťek, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Indonesia, and Jakub Černý, Secretary for Economic Agenda and Ambassador Deputy, for facilitating contacts with the Indonesian side and for hospitality during our stay in Jakarta.
